Last night, as the winds were howling and blowing in unseasonably cold air, two ewes decided the timing was right to have their lambs. Let the wild rumpus begin!
They sure are cute…
And they all seem to be in great health and thriving nicely, despite the cold. Katahdins are great mothers and Phillip Haynes reported that they were keeping their newborns nice and snug when he took these pictures this morning.
And of course. Bea was watching over the entire enterprise. Good girl, Bea!
Just 150 more ewes to give birth…which means about 250 lambs. It’s GO time!
