The day finally arrived! We prepared to let the flock loose on the spring grass for the first time this year.

And out they went…
The action was very much like a crowded escalator when one person stops at the bottom as the first sheep (literally) out of the gate were stopping in their tracks as soon as they hit the grass…
They spread out eventually.

And the lambs – well they've never been on grass – so there was a lot of confusion. On one hand, mom was out luxuriating in the field, and on the other – there is so much field! So there was a little back and forth with a lots of noise, jumps, and frolicking.
Once they found each other, the only real sound was of contented grazing.

The Road To Thanksgiving
In other exciting news, the first turkeys were hatched out this weekend. And so begins the road to Thanksgiving.
