It Has Been a Wet and Rainy Run-Up to Christmas

Rain, mud, standing water and more mud. The animals don't like it, the farmers can't move in it and it just plain is a nuisance. The conventional wisdom states that it's always “easier to put water on, than to take it off.”

So…finally some sunshine and a good, strong breeze to dry up the moisture.  The chickens approve.

And this handsome fellow can finally shake a tail feather.

Some of the girls even hopped the fence to see what the woods have in terms of foraged edibles.

But maybe happiest of all is little Vera, waiting patiently for a scratch at the fence.
