You Know It’s Spring When… Lambs Are Coming

Double Brook FarmTaylor sent me these photos this afternoon. One of the ewes we recently bought was bred short (meaning the ram was in with the ladies a little early…) and our first lamb of 2014 was born overnight!

Just look at Orlando and Brett with their new charge!

Because the foxes and coyotes are on the lookout, they decided to get Bea out with the herd of ewes for protection. She couldn’t be happier! It’s been a long winter for her and Kasey hanging out with the laying hens.
