Well it’s time to put away the cardigans and long-sleeved shirts. It’s smoking hot out there. The moment has come to find a hammock and just let the days pass you by.

Double Brook Farm - Summer Weather Finally HereTaylor and the pasture crew have moved animals to shade. I like the steer in the creek in the opening of the trees. He simply would not look at me to have his picture taken. I guess it’s too hot for Paparazzi!

Double Brook Farm - Summer Weather Finally HereAlways anxious to see what vegetables are coming in this week, I checked in with John, Justin and Ian. They were getting the baby fennel ready for the market (and the juicer!).

Double Brook Farm - Summer Weather Finally HereCharlton also had his team readying herbs and flowers for the market. Beautiful lavender, herbs of all kinds and gorgeous Yarrow flowers (see below), which will be part of bouquets this weekend at the market, along with wild Bergamot flowers.

Come shop for all your Double Brook pastured meats and have fun at the ‘Christmas in July’ event at the @princetonfarmersmarket in Hinds Plaza. There will be Hawaiian holiday music, adoptable dogs from SAVE, gifts and crafts, and even an appearance of ‘Hawaiian’ Grinch - plus all your local foods and flowers for sale. And it’s a perfect day! ☀️
