Summer Close Out

And you know what that means…it's getting to be that time to order your heritage turkey. And yet, there are still the last little bits of summer to play and have fun.

We hope you had a nice Labor Day Weekend. We were busy getting turkeys deeper into the ragweed (excellent protein) and clearing more areas around the enormous woodpile by the barn. The turkeys seemed to love the extra space. But there is no telling when they will start flying over the fence and heading over to our neighbors house and attacking their car. Turkeys are funny like that.

Turning to the coming months – we will release our order form for Thanksgiving turkeys by the 3rd week in September. You can find it through the newsletter announcement and on our website anytime. We will also have a QR code available at our Thursday and Sunday farmers markets. Stay tuned!

Wild and wacky stuff happening today at the farm. First, an early morning breakout of horses from a neighboring farm, and then a discovery of pounds of hen of the woods mushrooms. Between these happenings, egg carton deliveries, turkey 🦃 orders, and the usual manning the phones, it was a busy fall day.
