The lambs are here! Well, at least two are… We had our first lambs (twins) born this morning. Brett, Orlando and Jess are battening down the hatches for what’s to come in the next 3-4 weeks!
In other farm news:
We got a call from a neighbor who had a strange turkey in his driveway. Prancing around, resting on his car and being somewhat of a diva. I said Brett would come investigate and take the turkey… maybe she could come live with Tom and Jerry. As it turns out, being evicted did not change her ways.
Moving onto our car as a roosting spot is not a good plan. I can just imagine the kids opening the sun roof on the way to school. You know what they say when you get bird droppings on your head – good luck!
We haven’t named her yet – any ideas?
We are wondering where she came from. We have raised Royal Palms, but not for 2 years, so we do not think this hen can be ours. But she sure has settled in quickly!
