So Long to 2021

It really has been ‘A Year'.

We've had so many ups…like bringing cattle back to the farm.

And a successful sheep population explosion in the late winter.

Really good mud baths. Ahhhhhh….

And a summer and fall that provided several cuttings of hay and plenty of fresh green grass for our animals.

But the days were long and they started early.

And some were just not as great as others.

Others simply took everything we had.

We had 2 drenching rains (Henri and Ida) and had to clean up the aftermath of these ‘once in a century' storms within 10 days of each other. And Covid waned and then gained strength, disrupting operations just when we thought we had gotten into a rhythm. But our team was incredible and resilient and we thank them.

We maxxed out on how many turkeys we can actually produce for Thanksgiving in a given year. Again, our farmers and staff made it all happen.

So as we look to 2022, we do so with renewed energy. And the hope for health, happiness and to continue providing sustainable food for our neighbors in the most humane way possible for our animals, ourselves and our environment.

Happy New Year!!!
