I was out in the big barn checking on the cats when I heard a commotion. The piglets have been transferred here for wintering and they were RUNNING over to see what was happening. Usually, they crowd around for a second…
Before running off again at high speed.
The new mothers were there as well. Basking in the sun and feeding piglets that are the size of small Nerf footballs! Below is an Ossabaw sow.
Speaking of Ossabaws… this is what the male looks like.
Love the razorback – so stately.
Over on the other side of the barn, the Berkshires were nestled snugly in the hay. In the mornings, you can see steam rising from their cluster of hogliness.
Once Orlando came over to check on his charges, they had no time for me!
We have acquired some very cool-looking chickens. Below are the new layers.
Ok, every time I turned around, this chicken was behind me!
I seriously think I’m going to wake up in the middle of the night with this chicken looking directly at me with those intense eyes.
These ladies just started laying and will join the other girls on pasture when they’re old enough.
