Summer is so busy that it’s hard to keep on top of the cool and funny and just farmy things the animals are doing.
Like hanging out in the shade. These pigs can barely container themselves.
Despite it all, the turkeys have gone from this….
…to THIS in a matter of months.
Yes, you can start ordering your Thanksgiving turkeys now through Brick Farm Butcher. For early early birds (no pun, well, yes, pun intended) here is the LINK.
There will be much more information to follow.
It’s also been a summer of loss. Dear old Faith, who we adopted as a regal middle-aged lady, finally reached the end. She was a wonderful minder of chickens and all-around good sport and will be missed. But we like to think that she enjoyed her time in the chicken wilderness with the laying hens and Torg.
We have slowly grown our animal share business (and the slow speed is a good thing as we are steadying our sea legs with orders and billing etc.!) and are looking forward to seeing where this element of our farm takes us.
