Hard Loss for the Farm

Last week, we lost a great dog: our Great Pyrenees, Captain. Cap was very young to have had so many illnesses and we are still trying to understand what caused his weak immune system. In the meantime, he will be sorely missed.

Here he is (above) trying to escape and get to the animals when he was still too little to be out in the fields alone. He was a great companion, and a stellar guard dog.

Always cool as a cucumber with the animals, whether it was poultry, sheep or goats.

He will be missed. Especially by his buddy, Rufo (cap is sitting up).
