We were out walking around on Easter Sunday and came across some activity over in the veggie fields.
Stephanie and John were getting ahead of the rain and setting up the beds before they headed out to watch NCAA basketball for their Easter feast.
Great pic!
We are using the plastic covering for hopefully the last time as our mulch is not yet ready for use. Did you know that mulch has to cure for a year? Sometimes longer? This is why I’m not employed on the vegetable side – though they do tolerate my questions and humor me with answers.
Further on, the greenhouses are up and working. Check out the rollers and track for this 100-ft moveable greenhouse.
It’s a sweet set-up for longer growing seasons and protection in the summer heat. In another greenhouse, the mixed greens are coming up.
They look so good, I have to provide a close-up.
Back at the ranch, the turkeys, Tom and Jerry, are fully aware that it’s spring. This is what they do ALL DAY LONG:
10:00am
1:00 pm:
It doesn’t matter if you’re a hen or or a person or an ATV or a watering device, they are dressed to impress 98% of the time. And when they puff out, their chests thump like a drum. Tom (black, brown and white) does look a lot more attractive, but Jerry is still under a year. Plus, Jerry has begun an exotic ‘dance’ that Tom has never done. What does this mean?
No matter, the ladies pay them no mind anyway. And after all that work…
