It's a busy time of year with lots of activity on the farm. We recently had a school group from Caldwell High School here to discuss sustainability, farming and food production. It was a great day.
The animals did not disappoint and hammed for the cameras…sorry!

Around the farm and town, we have animals acting a little mischievous. Brett sent this in from the fields yesterday. These goats…
And Cisco, after tackling one of our rams and holding it at bay for about 30 minutes, found a perch from which he could survey the land.
Yes, that's a table!
And, finally, if you've seen a big, white dog that looks like a polar bear in your backyard, or roaming around town – that would be Rufo, the escape artist. Several days ago, he fought with something in the night and came away with 15 stitches across his nose (the vet thinks a wild cat of some kind). So he is in semi-quarantine while he heals. But he has managed to get out several times, usually coinciding with a thunderstorm. Here is his ‘mug shot' prior to the incident… He's very friendly if you see him.
Antics aside, the animals are loving the cool-ish spring and promise of warm sunshine.
