Jon and Robin McConaughy’s farm originated from one simple desire. They wanted to know where their food came from — who grew it, whether their fruits and vegetables were treated with pesticides, the meat they were ingesting dosed with hormones.
Ditto for New York filmmaker Graham Meriwether, who in 2007 began filming “American Meat,” a documentary studying America’s meat industry.
